Members of our Chancel and Junior Choirs, along with 300 singers from other church choirs around the USA and Canada working with our friend and composer Joseph Martin, have taken part in a concert entitled  “The Virtual Singing Christmas Tree.”   This began as an effort to offer something for choirs during this difficult Covid pandemic time and has turned into a wonderful experience. Our adults participated in three songs, and our children in one song.   We were joined by some of our friends from other local churches who normally participate with us in our annual cantata. Since we could not do the cantata this year, this concert gave us an opportunity to continue singing for the Lord and also to help support our local mission effort for CAPTAIN.

In addition to the virtual choir there are numerous professional soloists who have donated their time and effort to participate in this concert.  In addition to Joseph Martin, they include Sue Martin, composer and pianist Heather Sorenson, the Houston Children’s Chorus and their conductor Stephen Roddy.  Also participating are members of the Voices of Liberty from Disney including Tiffany Coburn and their director Tony DeRosa. Tony will also be singing with the barbershop quartet Max Q who are well known for their outstanding music.  The Milwaukee Handbell Ensemble Will also be featured.

We will be live streaming this concert on Sunday, December 20 at 7:45 PM.  You will be able to watch it on our church website at Our concerts at Christmas have always been in mission for CAPTAIN which does much good for children, youth and families in our local area.  If you would like to make a donation, which we will then send it on to CAPTAIN, you may go to the donate section on the website. Please make sure your donation is marked for CAPTAIN.  Meanwhile we invite you to enjoy the fun and spirit of the Christmas season by joining us for the live stream of this concert. While we can’t be live this year, we think you will enjoy this program!
